Description
A universal expansion joint uses two bellows connected by a center pipe to absorb lateral movement (sideways offset) in piping systems, in addition to some axial movement.
Unlike a single axial joint, the universal design’s twin-bellows-plus-tie-rod configuration lets it accommodate combined lateral and angular displacement — useful where a pipeline changes direction or where equipment settling causes offset.
Available in sizes, pressure ratings, and materials matched to your project specification, with tie-rod sizing calculated for the expected pressure thrust.
