Description
Axial expansion joints absorb straight-line (axial) movement caused by thermal expansion and contraction in pipelines that run in a single direction.
An axial expansion joint consists of one or more metallic bellows elements fitted between two pipe ends. As the pipeline heats up and expands, the bellows compresses; as it cools, the bellows extends back — protecting fixed points, flanges, and connected equipment such as pumps and turbines from excess stress.
Manufactured to customer-specified size, pressure, and temperature requirements, using materials selected for the specific application — including stainless steel, carbon steel, and higher-grade alloys for demanding conditions.
